so long, my little dreamer, I will miss your face
we’ll always stay connected through time and space
the journey that we shared but now have to leave
will live inside of us for eternity, yeahlittle dreamer, christina aguileira

Leanne liked the first day of school and the first day of classes. Sort of. She liked the first day of school because she could finally get away from her annoying younger brother, and she liked the first day of classes because she could look for the cute guys and professors in her classes. The social aspect of Hogwarts was fun. She liked being able to hang out with her friends, not being stuck in the library doing piles of homework thanks to her N.E.W.T. classes. Speaking of friends, Leanne needed to go find her best friend.
Knowing Katie, Leanne figured her best friend would be out running or out on the quidditch pitch since it was so nice outside. As Leanne explored the grounds though, she couldn’t find Katie anywhere. Leanne looked around again hoping to find a head of blonde hair but found spotted some younger students lingering around. Should she go up to one of them and ask if they’ve seen Katie? Leanne knew how awkward and nervous she could be sometimes when approaching strangers and ended up debating with herself for five minutes as she also constantly kept taking a step forward and then one back.
By the time Leanne decided she would go ask someone, the closest person to her was a girl on the grass talking to her bunny or something. “Um hi?” Leanne asked once she walked over to them. “Have you seen my friend? She’s about this tall, blonde, sarcastic, and goes by Katie Bell?”
Lisa flopped over on the emerald green of the grounds. A girl she hadn’t exactly spoken to before was looking down on her as Bonnie hopped around nibbling a daisy. Rabbits are funny creatures. One minute they’re content wiggling their wittle noses and the next they’re startled into a panic. Lisa had previously drawn a circles on the ground around her pet, which cast a charm that ensured that she wouldn’t stray from the confines.
Katie…. yes, Katie Bell. She had spoken to the girl several times in the past. Never anything more then a casual exchange, but Lisa would wave to her if she saw her in the corridor. She waved to most people. Sometimes she didn’t even know their names, but it made little difference. Who didn’t want their day brightened with a friendly hello? “I don’t think I’ve seen her today. But I did see her yesterday.”
Lisa paused in examination of a daisy next to the one Bonnie was devouring. It was whiter then snow and smelled quite acidic. What would ever taste good about eating a flower when they were far prettier to look at? “She was practicing that game… with the balls and the brooms…Quidditch! Sorry I forgot what it was called! Do you need help looking for her? I was playing a game with Bonnie here, but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind coming along with us. She can be downright prescient sometimes.”
Lisa stood up, dusting off her robes. “I’m Lisa Turpin, by the way. And this as you’ve already met, is Bonnie the white rabbit.”
